Version 2026-10, effective 23 October 2026
We respect your privacy. This policy explains, in plain words, what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Where information moves across provincial or national borders, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may also apply.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to quote, do, and bill your job:
-
Name, phone number and email address
-
Service and billing address
-
Payment details (handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers)
-
Photos of the work area and results
-
Notes about your property and the service you want
-
Messages, call records and emails between us
We collect this when you request a quote, book or approve work, pay, fill out a form, or contact us. We also collect basic website data through cookies (see section 9).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
-
Give quotes and do the work
-
Schedule visits and send crews or subcontractors
-
Send invoices and process payments
-
Contact you about your job, warranty or follow-ups
-
Send service reminders
-
Improve how we work
-
Meet legal, tax and insurance requirements
We will not use your information for a new purpose without telling you and, where needed, asking first. We never sell your personal information.
3. Consent
By asking for a quote or booking with us, you agree to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, unless we still need the information to finish your job, collect payment, or meet a legal duty. If you withdraw, we may not be able to provide some services.
4. Marketing Emails and Texts
We only send promotional emails or texts if you have agreed or the law otherwise allows it (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation, CASL). Every message will say who it is from and include an easy way to unsubscribe. Service messages about your job, such as booking confirmations and invoices, are not marketing.
5. Who We Share It With
We share information only as needed to run the business, with:
-
Subcontractors and staff who do your job. We may subcontract any service, and anyone we use must protect your information.
-
Service providers we use, such as Jobber (scheduling, forms, invoicing and payments), Quo (phone and texts), Google Workspace (email and files), Wix (website), and our accounting, payment and insurance providers.
-
Others when the law requires or allows it.
Some of these providers store information outside Canada, mainly in the United States. While it is there, it may be accessed by authorities under that country's laws. We choose providers that use reasonable safeguards.
6. Photos
We take before and after photos to record the work, check quality, and support warranty claims. We may also use photos in our marketing. We will not show your name, house number, licence plates, people or other details that identify you without your permission. If you do not want photos of your property used in marketing, just tell us.
7. Keeping It Safe
We use reasonable safeguards, such as password protected accounts, limited access for staff, and trusted software providers, to protect your information from loss, theft and misuse.
8. Access and Corrections
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Send your request in writing to the contact below. We will reply within 30 business days, as PIPA requires. We may charge a small fee for some requests and will tell you before we do. In limited cases the law lets us hold some information back, and we will explain why.
9. Website and Cookies
Our website is hosted by Wix and uses cookies and similar tools to make the site work and to give us basic visitor statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work without them.
10. How Long We Keep It
We keep information only as long as we need it. Job and billing records are kept for at least 6 years for tax purposes, and longer if needed for a warranty or claim. If we use your information to make a decision about you, we keep it for at least one year so you can ask to see it. After that, we securely delete or destroy it.
11. If the Business Changes Hands
If our business, or part of it, is sold, merged or reorganized, your information may be shared with the buyer or investors, under confidentiality, and transferred to the new owner. They must use it only for the same purposes and protect it under privacy law.
12. Questions and Complaints
Our privacy officer is Joe Gill.
