Roof Moss Removal and Treatment
This is a much more detailed process involving a softwash of your roof. First, we remove any moss and debris. Large clumps of moss are removed by hand or brush, and we are careful to not remove shingle granules. A special formulated solution is applied to the roof and we apply it at a recommended low pressure. The special formulated solution we use not only gets rid of moss, but also gets rid of Gloeocapsa Magma; a species of black bacteria that often looks like black streaking down your roof. This can be particularly harmful for individuals prone to allergy flare ups and can have negative health effects. The black bacteria/algae will die and disappear after the application, and the moss growth will turn yellow or white and instantly dies. After a few days, it will begin to shrivel and after a few months of sun, wind and rain, the moss will be completely gone from the roof. This is the safest, least invasive way to clean the roof.

We at Exclusive Power Washing warrant that no moss will re-grow on treated roofs within a period of two years from the date of completing a roof cleaning service. In addition we will schedule a return in approximately 6 months to ensure the roof is moss free! If we find that there are any areas that have new or missed moss growing we will treat the affected areas at no cost to you!
Please note that the “Two Year Moss Free Roof Warranty” is transferable in case ownership changes!
